Owning a Preschool Franchise

The foundation of a successful preschool is to first become an inspired teaching and learning environment. Prospective owners for Berkeley Bears International School (BBIS) must be committed to building the lasting relationships necessary to foster a lifelong love of learning.

Who are BBIS Owners?

They’re people just like you: successful professionals who are weary of corporate life, looking for a more fulfilling career, or simply eager to run their own business.

Our owners are people who have life goals and chase fulfillment both professionally and personally. Owning a BBIS franchise provides the opportunity to be part of a highly respected, sought-after, and rewarding community of educational business owners who make a lasting difference while making a healthy financial return.

The BBIS franchise owners thrive best when developing strong professional connections with children, parents, staff, and other BBIS franchises, letting their passion for childhood development and pride in our brand speak earnestly with every interaction.

Franchisee Spotlight

BBIS Principal / Co-founder - Lily Shu

I believe that children learn in different ways. The learning environment that I provide is secure, bright, home-like, motivating/stimulating and fun, so that the children will have the opportunities to explore, discover, create and imagine, and they will be encouraged to achieve their full potential.

I believe it is essential that the children are respected, valued, and nurtured as individuals. It is my role as an educator to assume responsibility for each child’s personal and educational development whilst they are in my care.

BBIS President / Founder - Ryan Doo

When Ryan established BBIS, Inc. as a corporation in 2020, it was at the beginning of the pandemic in the United States. As the country regained confidence, Ryan and Lily, with their great partnership, were able to capitalize on becoming a staple of the BBIS community. Ryan, as a business leader of the BBIS, led the business aspect of the corporation, while Lily made sure that the educational/curriculum goals were fully met by formally trained educational staff, allowing them to focus solely on the business operation aspect of the school and the expansion of the BBIS community.

With the flexibility that comes with owning a BBIS franchise, Ryan was also able to focus on his family. He travels with and spends quality time with the people that matter most to him.
